A man was allegedly drunk when he crashed his vehicle Sunday night and killed his passenger around 6:45 p.m. on Maquam Shore Road. Douglas Colby, 54, lost control after passing another vehicle, and crashed into some trees. His passenger, 56-year old Linda Vincellette, of Swanton, was killed. She was not wearing a seat belt. Colby is charged with DUI death resulting. He was booked into the Northwest Correctional Facility on $7,500 bail.

Four people will reportedly riding in a car on Boston Post Road near the intersection of Sand Hill Road when a collision occured. One person was thrown from the vehicle and sustained unknown injuries. They were then transported to a local hospital. It is unknown if the victim was wearing a seatbelt. This accident is still under investigation.

A pilot parachuted out of a small plane before it crashed on Interstate 89 in Vermont on Friday afternoon. Vermont State Police said the pilot, the plane's only occupant, sustained minor injuries after parachuting out of the plane before it crashed on on the highway in Highgate, Vermont just after 12 p.m. Friday. The pilot parachuted out before the crash and landed in a tree. Emergency crews were able to get the pilot down.

At least seven children were taken to the hospital after a bus accident in Berkshire Friday, but police say none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening. Vermont State Police say they were called to the accident on Potato Hill Rd. just before 4 p.m., where they found the bus partially on its side.
