Adrian Rae Summer, 17, was driving a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse north on SC-67 around 11:15 p.m. when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. South Carolina Highway Patrols says the driver was trapped inside the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Summer was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the vehicle was brought to Self Regional Medical Center.
