At around 2 p.m. at the intersection of Poplar Springs Road and Wofford Road, a dump truck ran into the side of a Honda SUV. The SUV was dragged off the roadway along with the truck and into a yard. The woman driving the SUV, identified as Syble Cooper was killed in the crash, but Lawrence Swikard, 49, the driver of the dump truck, is in satisfactory condition at the hospital. Investigation shows that the truck lost one of its front tires, which is what caused it to crash into Cooper's car.

A Gainesville Realtor died Tuesday after an auto accident on Ga. 365. Nola “Erice” Johnson, 78, was killed after a tractor-trailer collided with her car as it pulled out from Jaemor Farms Road after 5 p.m. Tuesday. Both suffered injuries and were transferred to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Erice Johnson died after arriving at the hospital. Hospital officials said William Johnson was in fair condition as of Wednesday afternoon.
