A short pursuit in Cincinnati ended in a multi-vehicle crash and a driver on the run.
An Ohio state trooper tried to pull over a speeding car on Columbia Parkway just after 10 a.m., but the driver refused to stop.
The chase ended when the pursued car crashed into two others near the intersection of Columbia Parkway and Delta Avenue.
The driver of the fleeing car ran away from the scene into nearby woods. Officers searched for nearly an hour before finding the driver, Rico Master, 27.
Master faces charges for felony eluding and driving under suspension.
Cincinnati police are investigating an injury crash on Interstate 71 Saturday.
Josephine Djordjevic, 24, was operating a vehicle north on I-71 when she lost control of her vehicle, went off the right side of the highway and struck a guardrail.
Djordjevic was trapped and had to be extricated from her vehicle by the Cincinnati Fire Department.
She was transported to UC Medical Center for her injuries. Her condition was not released.
Police said she was not wearing a seat belt.
Only the left lane of Interstate 275 was open at Reed Hartman Highway after a multi-vehicle accident.
Dispatchers said several vehicles were involved in an accident just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
At least one victim was flown to the hospital, dispatchers said.
Another victim, a child, also suffered serious injuries.
A black Jeep was one vehicle involved in the accident. Officers did not say when all lanes would be open.
The Hamilton County Coroner had been called to the scene but police officers would not confirm that someone was killed in the crash.
Police said Jason Woodyard was speeding Sept. 29 when he lost control of his rig in the northbound lanes on Interstate 75 and caused the death of 22-year-old Zachary Byrd.
Woodyard couldn't stop and hit two vehicles that were stopped near Mitchell Avenue after a minor crash, police said.
Byrd was a passenger in one of the stopped vehicles. He died from injuries at the scene.
Two other motorists were critically injured.
