Early Sunday morning in Monitor Township, a black Chevrolet Impala was southbound in the northbound lanes of I-75 when it struck a northbound white Chevrolet Astro head-on near N. Union Road. The Impala driver, a Saginaw resident, was brought to a local hospital in stable condition. The driver of the Astro, Barry Campbell of Kawkawlin, died at the scene. A passenger in the Astro, a Midland resident, was brought to a local hospital in critical condition.

Authorities say a second person has died from her injuries after a fiery collision on Interstate 75 in Madison County. Melissa Meade, 38, of Warren County, Ohio, died at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Christopher Shawn "Cheerios" Truesdell, 41, died from severe burns on Saturday at the hospital. The collision occurred Saturday on I-75 in Madison County when a car crossed a median and crashed into a van, which then caught fire. The cause of the crash is not yet known.

Two drivers died when a 91-year-old man driving the wrong way on Interstate 75 near the Florida-Georgia border late Friday night stuck an SUV and a Greyhound bus. Troopers said a 91-year-old driver was diving south in the northbound lanes when they ran head-on into the bus and a Ford Expedition at mile marker 449, about 10 miles south of Jasper in Hamilton County. The car's driver, Ernest Lee Holmes, 91, from High Springs, Florida was killed in the accident, according to the FHP report. Peter Linek, 55, of Ormond Beach, who was driving the SUV also died.
