Bakersfield, CAAccording to officers, Maureen Deandra was traveling at high speed on Highway 58 when she made an unsafe turning movement in an attempt to overtake a Jeep. She instead collided with the Jeep, both vehicles veered into the center divider wall, and Deandra's vehicle rolled several times. a 7-year-old child was ejected from one of the vehicles during the crash. He died in the crash, and two other people, the 35-year-old driver of the Jeep and a 13-year-old passenger, were hospitalized.

Bakersfield, CAThree women were killed in a head-on crash just after midnight Wednesday on Highway 395 near Searles Station Road. 23-year-old Erica Leigh Greif, of Reno, Nevada, 18-year-old Myranda Danea Kiaha, of Ridgecrest, California, and 19-year-old Taylor Kay Marie Warren, also of Ridgecrest, were killed. Two other passengers were seriously injured.
