Monday, August 18, 2014A sleepy driver is blamed for a single-car accident on Interstate 90 on Monday morning that injured a Cowiche couple. Edward A. Cella, 71, fell asleep and drifted to the left. When Cella awoke up, he overcorrected, causing his 2004 Toyota Matrix to roll over. Cella and his passenger, Carol A. Cella, 70, were taken to Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue. The State Patrol said it is recommending a second-degree negligent driving citation.

Sunday, November 17, 2013One person was injured and several vehicles were damaged in a rock throwing incident on I-90 near Ellensburg.
The Washington State Patrol is seeking information or witnesses to the incident, which occurred either late Saturday night or early Sunday morning. The rocks were thrown from the side of the freeway at passing vehicles near milepost 108.

Friday, December 14, 2012All the persons involved in the crash, including the man killed, were students at Washington State University. Troopers said a vehicle was traveling westbound on Interstate 90 when the vehicle lost control on icy roads around 10:40 a.m. The vehicle left the roadway near Milepost 123 and rolled over. Tuesday, October 9, 2012A 10-year-old boy was killed Wednesday when the car he was a passenger in rolled over on Interstate 90 just west of Kittitas, according to a Washington State Patrol accident report.

Sunday, September 9, 2012Randy Haynes, 51, of Renton died in the crash, which occurred Sept. 10 at 4:17 p.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 90 near milepost 88, close to the Indian John Hill Rest Area and about four miles east of Cle Elum.
