Two people were killed when they were struck by a vehicle in northwest Indiana.
49-year-old William Knight and 42-year-old Linda Darlington, both of Crown Point, were struck by a vehicle in their hometown about 12:15 a.m. Sunday. They both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Lake County Coroner's office says it appears to be an accident. The Lake County sheriff's office is investigating.

All lanes have reopened on Interstate 80/94 in northwest Indiana after three semi trucks and one car were involved in a crash Wednesday morning, closing all eastbound lanes to traffic just in time for the morning commute.
Officers responded to the crash about 5:50 a.m. near the Cline Avenue exit in Gary, Ind., Indiana State Police said. There were no injuries, according to an Indiana State Police spokesman.
Three semi trucks and one passenger car were involved in the crash, police said.
