Saturday, May 23, 2015An 18-year-old Boonville man died in a single-car accident on Highway 128 near Philo in Mendocino County. The crash occurred when a Toyota Corolla drifted off the roadway and hit a tree. Witnesses extracted the driver from the car just before it caught fire, but the driver was pronounced deceased at the crash site.

Sunday, April 26, 201520-year-old Brandon Doty was driving on Old River Road when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road and crashed into a metal gate, which cause the car to flip over. While Doty was uninjured, his passenger Tyler Shepard complained of pain and was airlifted to the hospital. Police believe that Doty was driving too fast to safely take the curve.
