Spokane Valley resident Jimmie D. Parker, 62, was killed in a motorcycle accident just before noon today on Highway 195 two miles south of the Spokane city limits. The Washington State Patrol reported that Parker was riding his 2005 Harley Davidson north in the left lane when he veered off the road and struck a tree. Parker was ejected from his motorcycle. He was wearing a helmet.

Eight people were crammed into a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze when the Marysville man drove north on Hoehn Road near Duffy Road at 1:46 a.m. The vehicle was carrying teens ranging from 16 to 19 years old, mostly from Sedro-Woolley and Mount Vernon. The driver failed to negotiate a left turn and left the road to the right, rolling into a ditch on the right shoulder. A Tacoma man riding his motorcycle died Saturday after a Gig Harbor woman driving a BMW crossed the center line about 7:15 p.m. in the 2800 block of East Bay Drive Northwest and hit him head-on. The 69-year-old man was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead after the crash south of Gig Harbor. He was identified as Alex Heinz. The woman, 71, was taken to the hospital for injuries, and is expected to be okay. Washington State Patrol officers could not say Saturday afternoon if Pavlo Myronets was speeding. They’re interviewing witnesses to determine how he lost control of a 2006 Toyota Scion while driving north on the highway near the exit for 277th Street just before 5 a.m.
