One person is dead and another suffered serious injury after a suspected DUI accident early Saturday morning in Orange, California. A BMW crashed into a Jeep on the southbound 57 freeway transition to the westbound 22 freeway. The Jeep subsequently went over the K-rail and onto the on-ramp below. The Jeep landed on its roof, killing a man inside. A second person was transported to the hospital in critical condition. A woman was also taken into custody on suspected DUI. An investigation is underway in Fullerton after a man trying to cross the 57 Freeway on foot was struck and killed.
California Highway Patrol officers say they got a call shortly after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday about a driver who crashed his truck.
That driver got out of the truck and attempted to cross the northbound lanes of the 57 on foot just south of Imperial Highway. That's when authorities say the man was hit by another vehicle and killed.
