Montgomery-Selma, ALWillie Ray Jones, 65, was driving a Chrysler Pacifica that crashed with a Freightliner driven by Willie Oliver Odom, 63, of Brent. Jones was transported to Vaughn Regional Medical Center in Selma, where he later died. The passenger of the Chrysler, Sylvia Jones, 67, also of Thomasville, was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for treatment. Her current condition is unknown. The collision happened at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Alabama Highway 5.

Montgomery-Selma, ALA Birmingham woman was killed in a wreck possibly related to icy weather north of Marion Tuesday morning.
Emma Evans, 64, killed on Alabama 5 at the 75 mile marker, about 12 miles north of Marion, when the vehicle she was driving hit another around 11:05 a.m., according to a news release from a Alabama State Troopers spokesman.
Troopers continue to investigate the wreck.
