Thornton police are investigating a hit-and-run that sent one man to the hospital on Sunday. The accident happened at a Home Depot on Grant Street. Police believe a 63-year-old victim was getting inside his Ford Ranger pickup when it happened. Police believe a red Chevrolet Cavalier struck the passenger side of the pickup. The impact was so strong it knocked the victim to the ground, causing a severe head injury. The victim is listed in critical condition.
