Thursday, September 11, 2014Brian Devoto was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze, and Krisha Caraballos was driving a 2011 Nissan Sentra, but it was not immediately clear who had been driving the wrong way, according to Officer Art Montiel of the California Highway Patrol. It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

Friday, December 20, 2013A person in a wheelchair was killed by a car on Monterey Road in San Jose Friday evening, according to police.
The person in the wheelchair was going north in the southbound lane on Monterey Road while a vehicle was traveling south at about 7 p.m., police said.
The two collided head-on near the intersection with Phelan Avenue. The person in the wheelchair was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision, police said.
