Salena Cochrane, 17, of Gering was driving the vehicle when it went off a county road northeast of Mitchell around 7 p.m. Tuesday and rolled, according to Scotts Bluff County Attorney Doug Warner.

The girl was partially ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Passenger Christopher Miller, 20, of rural Mitchell was taken to a Scottsbluff hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
