Ellien Edwards was driving down 86th Avenue, a limestone gravel road, when she lost control of her car while going down a hill. Her car went through the railing on a bridge and lended in a creek. Ellien and her two-year-old son Joseph were killed in the accident. Some citizens of Jackson County are advocating for a change in the gravel the county uses on its roads. The limestone mixture is all that the county budget allows for, but provides poor traction.
