Jamie Lynn DeLeon,17, killed, after she is struck by a pickup, driven by Gregg Harris, 50, while walking across Lillian Gish Blvd. in Massillion.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a crash that killed a 17-year-old Massillon girl on Friday.

Jamie Lynn DeLeon of Massillon was attempting to cross Lillian Gish boulevard in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Gregg Harris, 50, of Massillon. Gregg was making a right turn when the accident occurred.

Harris was not injured in the crash. Troopers said he was wearing his seatbelt.

DeLeon was transported to Affinity Hospital by the Massillon fire department, where she later died of her injuries.
