Kunsman, of San Diego, was wearing a helmet when he was hit Friday evening. He later died from his injuries in a Portland hospital, according to state police. The pickup truck driver, Frank Bohannon, 74, of Oceanside, cooperated with the investigation and was not hurt in the crash. He was cited for careless driving.
