Sometime in the morning, a car driven by Kyle Hawkins, 18, in which Jackson was a passenger hit a tree off of U.S. Highway 42. The impact left Jackson, who was 20 weeks pregnant, dead at the scene, while Hawkins was taken to Baptist Hospital with only minor injuries.
