A 19-year-old Wisconsin man is dead after a single-vehicle crash on New Year’s Day. The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 1600 block of Highway A in Richmond, Wis., around 5:18 a.m. Wednesday. Officials say 19-year-old Taylor Casey of Hudson was driving southbound on the highway when he lost control of the Mercedes Benz SUV and went into a ditch, rolling the vehicle. Casey was partially ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff’s office says he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt at the time. His passenger, 19-year-old Antonio Bloomquist of Hudson, was not injured.
