Oregon State Police are investigating a fatal commercial truck crash that killed a 42-year-old man.

At 11 a.m. on Thursday a 2000 Freightliner truck pulling a trailer rolled over while turning on a right curve on the southbound lanes of Oregon 47, just north of Yamhill.

The driver, Jason Alan Reynolds of Vancouver, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing safety restraints and had to be extricated from the truck, Oregon State Police said.

The trailer was transporting several hundred gallons of syrup, some of which spilled into a nearby field.
