A Spokane woman who drove the wrong way on Interstate 90 early Sunday caused an accident that sent her and two others to the hospital. Ashley R. Daily, 30, was driving a 2000 Honda Accord westbound in the eastbound lanes between Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene about 12:26 a.m., the Idaho State Police said. Daily hit head-on a 2013 Hyundai Genesis driven by Victor J. DeLeon, 38, of Hayden. Neither one was wearing a seat belt, and both were taken to Kootenai Health for treatment, police said.

A 26-year-old Utah man has been killed in a single-vehicle rollover in Idaho. The Idaho State Patrol says Chet Atkinson of Weston died in the crash on Highway 36 near Preston about 6:40 p.m. Sunday. Troopers say he was headed east in a Dodge pickup truck when he drifted off the south side of the highway near mile marker 132. Investigators say he apparently over-corrected before he crashed through a guard rail and rolled down an embankment. Atkinson was not wearing a seat belt. He was ejected from the truck and died at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.

A Moscow, Idaho, woman was killed Saturday night when she lost control of her car on an icy road south of Worley and crossed into the path of an oncoming vehicle. Donna L. Lefors, 85, died in the accident on U.S. 95 just after 8 p.m., the Idaho State Police said. Lefors was traveling southbound on the highway and crossed into the northbound lane, where her car was struck by Florencio S. Espana, 46, of Worley. Espana was injured and taken to Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene. The highway was blocked about 45 minutes. Coeur d’Alene Tribal Police assisted. The crash is under investigation.
