Eighteen-month-old Malana Lai of Everett died from blunt-force and crushing injuries when someone backed over her with a car last Thursday afternoon, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. Detectives have determined the driver of the vehicle was the girl’s father and have ruled it was an accident.
