A man was arrested after crashing his car during a police chase and then trying to run from officers. A police officer saw a car driving erratically on Richmond near Shepard around 2 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Houston Police Department. When the officer tried to pull over the driver, he sped off and police pursued. Officials said the man raced down Richmond for a few blocks before crashing into a truck. Police said the driver jumped out of the car and took off running. Police quickly caught him. Officials said the man is suspected of drunken driving. Charges against him are pending.

A trooper with the Colorado State Patrol was seriously injured when a van hit her patrol car while investigating a crash. Trooper Adeline Roybal was in her patrol car on the left shoulder and median of Interstate 70 near mile marker 292 around 10:45 p.m. Thursday when she was hit by a 1996 Ford van. The collision was so intense it pushed Roybal’s Crown Victoria and another patrol car into the median. Roybal suffered serious injuries and was taken to Aurora South Medical Center for treatment.

State police say a car spun out of control on a northwestern Indiana highway and plowed into a trooper's parked cruiser. Police say Trooper Brandon Henderson stopped about 4:30 a.m. Thursday at the scene on Interstate 65 in Merrillville where a pickup truck had hit a slick spot and crashed into the highway's guardrail. Henderson parked his cruiser behind the truck with its emergency lights on and was out talking with the driver when a car also lost control on the slick road. That car slammed into the trooper's car and pushed it into the wrecked truck.

A speeding motorist crashed head-on into an on-duty sheriff's deputy on a rain-slicked Alpine road early Thursday, sending the lawman to the hospital with minor injuries, authorities said. The two-car crash on the 3900 block of Willows Road near Viejas Casino & Resort occurred about 3:20 a.m., according to a San Diego County sheriff's Lt. The deputy was traveling westbound when the eastbound motorist lost control of his speeding vehicle and crossed over a center divider, striking the deputy's car head-on.

An SUV struck a Vancouver police car Monday morning that was blocking the site of minor traffic collision in the Minnehaha area. The man driving the SUV and his passenger were later arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property, including the SUV. About 8:30 a.m., a GMC Yukon drove around a fire truck and hit the side of a marked patrol car with its emergency lights on at Northeast 68th Street and St. Johns Road.

The man who slammed into a marked Prince George’s County police cruiser Friday morning had a blood alcohol level that was twice the legal limit, authorities said. Police arrested 32-year-old Devonne Brooks, who faces charges for allegedly driving under the influence during the crash that sent a police officer to a hospital.

A 23-year-old Las Vegas man wanted on felony warrants rammed two police cars when confronted by police Tuesday morning, Las Vegas police said. Officers spotted a black Mercedes 350, reported as a stolen vehicle, being driven by Samual Donesing near Flamingo Road and Decatur Boulevard about 10 a.m. Tuesday. Donesing was wanted on felony warrants related to possessing a different stole vehicle, police said.

An Oregon State Police trooper was injured Friday night when his patrol car was rear-ended as he was wrapping up a traffic stop on Oregon 34 east of Corvallis. Just after 8 p.m., Trooper Don Rummer was finishing a traffic stop and got back into his patrol car when he saw a car coming from behind lose control on the snow- and ice-covered roadway. The car crashed into the back of the stopped patrol car.

A Chicago police officer and two others were injured in an alcohol-related crash in the Englewood neighborhood early Wednesday. The crash, which involved a squad car, occurred about 12:45 a.m. in the 7400 block of South Halsted Street, police said. Two police officers from Gresham District were standing on the street conducting a traffic stop when a dark-colored SUV struck the passenger door of the officers’ squad car, police said. One officer and the two men who were initially stopped were struck by the car, police said.

Two separate crashes left police officers in two different counties hospitalized. And in both cases, the drivers were possible intoxicated. The first wreck left a Bensalem police officer hurt after her police cruiser was hit by a van on Sunday night in Lower Southampton Township. Lower Southampton police confirmed to NBC10 that the officer was involved in the crash at Brownsville and Old Street Road around 7:30 p.m. The officer was taken to Aria Torresdale hospital with neck and back pain.
