A motorcyclist who was struck and killed by a car in San Francisco's Lower Haight neighborhood was identified Tuesday as Bill Beckwith, a contractor and carpenter who co-hosted the HGTV show Curb Appeal. Beckwith, 38, was hit by a car near the corner of Oak and Steiner streets about 8:30 p.m. Monday, police said. He died at San Francisco General Hospital. The driver of the car, a 30-year-old man, stopped after the crash and cooperated with investigators. His name wasn't released.

A publicist for actor Paul Walker says the star of the "Fast & Furious" movie series has died in a car crash north of Los Angeles. He was 40. A statement on Walker's Facebook page said Walker was a passenger in a friend's car, and that the crash happened while he was attending a charity event. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's department said the crash happened in community of Valencia. Walker was working on the latest "Fast & Furious" movie at the time of his death. He also starred in the suspense drama, "Hours," a movie that is set for release this month.

Dr. Mehmet Oz is often making headlines for his stances on healthy living as the nationally syndicated talk show host, "Dr. Oz." But the University of Pennsylvania medical school graduate and Wilmington, Del., native performed a real-life good deed far from any television cameras and without any media attention this weekend when he helped a woman from a car at a crash scene in lower Bucks County on Saturday.
