Spokane Valley resident Jimmie D. Parker, 62, was killed in a motorcycle accident just before noon today on Highway 195 two miles south of the Spokane city limits. The Washington State Patrol reported that Parker was riding his 2005 Harley Davidson north in the left lane when he veered off the road and struck a tree. Parker was ejected from his motorcycle. He was wearing a helmet.

Eight people were crammed into a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze when the Marysville man drove north on Hoehn Road near Duffy Road at 1:46 a.m. The vehicle was carrying teens ranging from 16 to 19 years old, mostly from Sedro-Woolley and Mount Vernon. The driver failed to negotiate a left turn and left the road to the right, rolling into a ditch on the right shoulder.
