Milwaukee, WIA driver traveled the wrong way for 2.3 miles on Interstate 794 over the Hoan Bridge early Saturday until he crashed into a three-foot median wall just north of Carferry Drive, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office said Saturday.
Deputies said that after Edward Deshazer of Cudahy drove a 2007 white Ford Expedition onto I-794 at Lincoln Memorial Drive multiple squads responded to a call that came in about 2 a.m. from a construction worker.
Deshazer was cited for driving while intoxicated, a first offense, and recklessly endangering safety, which carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison.

Portland, ORAn Oregon City woman died after she was ejected out of a friend's car that was turning onto a street in Gresham Wednesday night, police said.
Peggy J. Jennen, 73, died at the scene just after 11:30 p.m., according to the Gresham Police Department. Investigators said her friend, Lisa A. Wilson, 52, of Troutdale, was driving drunk when she turned from westbound NW Division Street to southbound NW Bella Vista Place and Jennen fell out of the car.

Tuesday, December 10, 2013A 2-month-old child and a pair of adults dodged death when a passing driver clipped their car on an icy road near Klamath Falls on Wednesday and sent both vehicles flying into an irrigation canal, police said.
Howard Kingman, of Sisters, was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe north on U.S. 97 around 1:05 p.m. when he tried to pass a Toyota Prius near milepost 264, Oregon State Police said.
The 70-year-old driver lost control on the icy roadway and struck the Prius, which carried Robert Burton, 56, Bree Burton, 20, and her infant son, police said.

Milwaukee, WIA Manitowoc man suspected in a fatal road rage incident has been banned from driving and having any contact with the survivors of the crash.
The orders are conditions of bail, which Shawn Lischka posted late Wednesday night and was released from the Manitowoc County Jail.
Nineteen-year-old Eric Neuman of Two Rivers died Tuesday night when the pickup he was driving crashed into a guardrail and crashed. Neuman was thrown from the truck. Three others in his vehicle survived.
Authorities have accused the 22-year-old Lischka of side-swiping Neuman's truck in a road rage incident.
