Frances Sevilla killed, 5 others injured when van loses brakes and crashes near Gold Run, California
One person was killed and six others were injured when the brakes in their van apparently gave out near Gold Run in Placer County, authorities said. Emergency officials got a call from someone inside the Chevy Astro van about 4:40 p.m. and were told that it was traveling west on Interstate 80 and was out of control, according to CHP Officer Chris Nave.
