Thursday, February 6, 2014The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident on Saluda Dam Road.
The Pickens County Coroner identified the victim as Calvin Edward King, 67, of Easley.
A spokesman for the agency says the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at 6:41 Friday night. King was transported to Greenville Memorial, but did not survive the injuries.
Investigators say the man was trying to cross Saluda Dam road when he was hit.
