Philadelphia, PAAn autopsy is scheduled Tuesday on an elderly pedestrian struck and killed by a snowplow in Pennsylvania.
Emergency crews were called to a street in Reading shortly before 11:30 a.m. Monday.
The 71-year-old victim, later identified as Gilbert Birdsey, was rushed to Reading hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.
Police and the forensic unit of the Berks County district attorney’s office are investigating.
Public works officials and the mayor’s office have not commented on the accident.
