One woman killed, after her car leaves the roadway on 72nd and N. Brighton in north Kansas City, and crashes into some woods, where the car overturned.

A driver lost control of his or her car Thursday morning at 72nd and N. Brighton in Kansas City North Thursday morning at about 6:30 a.m., sending the car into the woods before it flipped over.

One person was killed. Police say it appears this was a single-car accident and have not yet determined or released what may have caused the driver to lose control.

The victim has not been identified.
