ALLAGASH (AP) — Police say a Westbrook man has died in a weekend motorcycle crash in Allagash.

The Aroostook County Sheriff's Office says 23-year-old Dana Watts was headed east on Route 161 just before 6 p.m. Saturday when he failed to negotiate a corner and lost control.

The motorcycle left the road and Watts sustained fatal injuries.

Watts was wearing a helmet.

Police say the crash remains under investigation but speed appears to be a factor.

A man is in critical condition after a one-vehicle crash in Gorham late Friday night.

Police say around 10:45 p.m., Cameron Morrissette, 21, of Standish was driving west on Shaws Mill Road when it appears he lost control of his vehicle, went off the road and crashed into a tree.

Morrissette was found unconscious inside the car when first responders arrived and was transported to Maine Medical Center, where he was last listed in critical condition.

The crash is still under investigation.

The four riders in Saturday's motorcycle crash in Windham have been identified. Windham police say 28-year-old Ricky Morse, of Buxton, and his passenger, 24-year-old Kaitlin Knight, were riding a 2001 Yamaha when the bike collided with a 2008 Harley-Davidson driven by 54-year-old Jon Swan, of Bethel. His passenger was his wife, Deborah Swan, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Morse is the most seriously injured and remains in critical condition at Maine Medical Center.
