Lincoln Police have identified the victim of Tuesday evening's fatal motorcycle accident as 19-year-old Mark Wenzl of Seward.
Police say Wenzl was riding eastbound on Rosa Parks Way. They say he was going through the curve in the roadway when he hit a concrete barrier. He was ejected and fell to his death below the viaduct. Police say there's no indication that he was hit by another vehicle. However, they are looking for any witnesses who saw the accident to complete their investigation.
An 83-year-old woman has died after a collision on U.S. Highway 81 near Strang in southern Nebraska.
The Fillmore County Sheriff's Office says the accident occurred a little before 2:45 p.m. Sunday. The office says Joan Hendrickson was turning north off Nebraska Highway 74 onto U.S. 81 when her car was struck by a southbound sport utility vehicle.
Hendrickson, of Shickley, was fatally injured. The two people in the SUV were treated at a nearby hospital and released.
The driver killed in a two-vehicle Dodge County crash Friday morning has been identified as 35-year-old Skeeter Garule of Hooper.
The Dodge County Sheriff's Department says a car driven by Garule heading southbound on County Road 20 was hit by a westbound semi at the intersection of Highway 275 south of Hooper around 6:30 a.m. Heavy fog in the area was a possible factor in the accident. There is a stop sign for county road traffic.
Garule was pronounced dead at the scene. He is survived by his 6-year-old son Alex.
Authorities have released the names of two teenage boys who were killed in a collision between a car and semitrailer just north of Fremont.
The accident occurred just after 1 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 77 and Nebraska Highway 91.
The car driver was identified as 17-year-old Bryan Huff, of Fremont, and his passenger was identified as 15-year-old Dalan Brandt, of Hooper.
