Elmira, NYA Hornell teen was killed Chistmas Eve around 10 p.m. after the vehicle he was a passenger in exited County Route 29 in the Town of Canisteo and smashed into a tree. The driver of the vehicle, Thomas Flynn, 18, Hornell, was charged by New York State Police with driving while intoxicated. Flynn’s passenger, Hunter Kolesar, 19, was airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, where he died. Flynn was also taken to Packer Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

Binghamton, NYMakayla Vandusen, 19, died at the scene following a single-vehicle crash at 10:34 p.m. on Dutchtown Road in Tioga County. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
