Buffalo, NYMonroe County sheriff's deputies are looking for information in the search for three drivers thought to be involved in the hit-and-run crash that killed a Penfield woman on Empire Boulevard Saturday night. Amy Menz, 30, had some kind of argument with a family member Saturday night in a Creek Hill Apartments residence. She then ran toward Empire Boulevard, around 10 p.m., where witnesses saw Menz standing by the road as though she was waiting for vehicles to go past. Menz then ran into traffic and was struck by three cars, the drivers of which briefly stopped but then quickly left the scene.

New York, NYThe driver of a minivan allegedly involved in a hit-and-run that killed a 5-year-old boy crossing a street in Brooklyn with his mother Sunday evening has been arrested, police say.
Rashard Charles died after being hit by the car on Empire Boulevard in Crown Heights about 8:30 p.m., according to the NYPD.
Charles and his mother were crossing the road in the middle of a block when they were hit by by a double-parked minivan backing into the roadway, police said.
The boy and his mother were both knocked to the ground and the child was pronounced dead at the hospital.
