 A 30 year old male driver from Port Charlotte, injured in a car accident on US 41 in the inside left turn lane for Bayshore Road in Charlotte County FL.  He was ejected from the vehicle after hitting the curbed median and losing control causing the vehicle to land on its side.  He was taken to Bayfront Port Charlotte.

Blake Carter, 3, killed after being struck by a vehicle when he attempted to cross at Clay County Road and College Drive in Jacksonville, FL.

Blake Carter was on his bicycle and with two people when attempting to cross.  Travis Little, 21, of Orange Park tried to avoid hitting the child but was unsuccessful.

A vehicle drove into the front of a business at 802 North Nova Rd at Mason Avenue, in Daytona Beach, FL. The driver slammed through the front glass window of the 5 Star Rental, there was substantial damage to the store and a concrete pole; the store was closed when the accident occured.  The two individuals inside the vehicle were taken to Halifax Medical Center for their injuries.

The driver of a Pontiac G6, swerved into the right emergency lane crashing into a disabled abandoned pickup truck. The individual was killed after the car spun around, turned over and burst into flames.  The vehicle was destroyed and efforts to identify the driver and determine the cause of the accident continue.

Shanika Davis was at the intersection of I-75 and Morris Bridge Road behind a tractor trailer that was also attempting to turn left when the semi- trailer stopped in the median causing Davis to a stop in the westbound lanes. Deputy Ladarian  Rudolph was on Morris Bridge Road in the inside lane and tried to stop but struck the driver's side of Davis'  Chevrolet Tahoe which rotated and rolled over onto its roof.  Deputy Rudolph was transported to Tampa General hospital  and Shanika Davis was transported to St. Joseph's hospital.

 Lee County deputy was found at fault in an accident that killed Austin Dukette, 15.  Deputy Douglas E. Hood was cited for careless driving following a two-month investigation.  Austin was riding his bike to school on August 22nd and Hood hit the back tire of the boy's bike, from behind, with his patrol car on Kismet Parkway and Northwest Seventh Avenue, in Cape Coral, FL.
