Lacy Doane, 22, of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, died in a single-car crash Saturday night in Myersville, Maryland. The accident occured on October 25, 2014 when driver Richard Lewis, 24, of Mt. Airy, Maryland, lost control of his car and collided with multiple trees, causing the vehicle to flip several times. Lewis sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. The two other passengers, David Bonita, 24, of Myersville, and Chelsie Cooper, 22, also of Myersville, were also taken to the hospital to treat serious injuries.

Alcohol was likely a factor in an overnight crash Tuesday in Edgewater that injured six teenagers when their vehicle went out of control and turned over, according to Anne Arundel County Police. The preliminary investigation revealed that the Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound on Central Avenue near Loch Haven Road at about 12:35 a.m. when the 18-year-old female driver lost control of the car, causing the Camry to skid, spin into a ditch and overturn onto its roof.

A sophomore basketball player at Covenant Life School in Gaithersburg was killed Friday after a car that had been involved in a crash careened onto the sidewalk, then hit her and another young girl, police said. Teressa Rosalind French, 16, was only about a block from her school on Muncaster Mill Road when a Chrysler Sebring and a Honda Accord collided, sending the Sebring onto the sidewalk, police said. The car hit French and a 13-year-old, then crashed into a tree, police said.

Police say a possible drag race may have led to the death of a juvenile pedestrian in Rockville Friday afternoon. Montgomery County police were called to the crash involving two cars and two pedestrians on Muncaster Mill Road between Shady Grove Road and Woodfield Road at approximately 3 p.m. Both drivers were juvenile, police said. The two cars were traveling north on Muncaster Mill Road, which merged from two lanes into one lane, causing the collision. One of the cars went off the road and hit two of three juvenile pedestrians.

An icy road caused a driver in Perryville to crash into a CSX train early Thursday morning, the Cecil County Sheriff's Office reported. The driver, later identified as Patti Pucci 18, was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with unknown injuries after the crash, which was reported at 6:55 a.m. at the Jackson Station Road crossing just outside the town of Perryville, Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. Michael Holmes said. The driver was in a Hyundai Sonata. No further details about the driver were immediately available.
