Sometime in the morning, a car with a 23-year-old driver who has not been identified and Walsh as a passenger struck several trees, killing Walsh instantly and sending the driver to the hospital. The accident occured only 100 yards away from the town's police station. Check back for updates.

Paul Chuilli Jr. reportedly lost control of his vehicle while driving around a curve on Aldrich Road and hit a tree, sustaining fatal injuries. Firefighters were able to remove him from his car and transport him to a local hospital where he later died. Chuilli was the son of a Bridgewater firefighter, and the stepson of a Bridgewater police officer.

Christopher Hutcheon was among four teenagers riding in a Toyota Camry that left I-495 in Mansfield and crashed into a tree. Cameron Hutcheon, 18-year-old Jacob Allard, and 19-year-old Jenna Lombardo, who was driving the Toyota, were treated for minor injuries, but Christopher Hutcheon was hospitalized with critical injuries.  All of the occupants were wearing seat belts and were not ejected. No charges had been filed as of Friday.

The victims of a fatal crash on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Framingham this week have been identified as Connecticut residents. Police say 20-year-old William Barnett and 19-year-old Alyssa Grenier, both of Stafford Springs, Conn., died when their minivan was struck by a tractor-trailer hauling lumber just after 5 a.m. Wednesday on the eastbound side of the highway. Barnett, the driver, and Grenier, were pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was hospitalized with injuries not considered life threatening.

A Braintree teen has pleaded not guilty in Quincy District Court to operating under the influence of drugs after he allegedly crashed his car into a police cruiser while he was trying to videotape an accident scene on his cellphone, police said. William Sawyer Jr., 18, was also charged with impeded operation, operating to endanger, and obstructing an emergency vehicle, according to a Norfolk district attorney’s spokesman.
