Tuesday, October 21, 2014A female motorcyclist sustains serious injuries after colliding with a pickup truck on the 4400 block of Bridge Road, near Townpoint Road, in Suffolk, Virginia. The accident occured early Tuesday morning, around 7:00 a.m. The woman was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital to treat serious injuries. The cause of the accident is unclear.

Tuesday, October 14, 2014John Michael Gibson, 58, was killed driving his motorcycle in a collision with an SUV driven by Shane Michael Ambrose Graybeal, 18, on South Rosemont Road in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Graybeal is being cited with failure to yield. He collided with a southbound Gibson when making a left turn from Silina Drive onto South Rosemont Road, killing Gibson at the scene. Neither alcohol nor high-speed are believed to be involved in the collision, which is still under investigation.
