An 18-year-old woman from Sturgis was driving at a high rate of speed on Schweitzer Road at about 7:00 p.m. when she failed to properly take a curve and departed the roadway, causing the car to flip numerous times. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained critical injuries and had to be taken to the hospital via helicopter. Three others, identified as a 16-year-old girl and two males, ages 17 and 23, who were passengers in the vehicle, had minor injuries. Check back for updates.
