Jacksonville, FLIlayyn Fahmi Ahmad was traveling north on US-1 as a woman was attempting to make a left turn in the left turn lane of southbound US-1. The woman failed to yield the right of way and the two vehicles collided. Both people were transported to UF Health. Ahmad died, and the woman sustained serious injuries.

La Crosse-Eau Claire, WIAn unidentified 17-year-old boy was riding a skateboard north on 5th Avenue, and was in the crosswalk making his way across Market Street, when he was struck by a westbound car. The teenager sustained critical injuries that were considered life-threatening and is currently in the hospital. The driver received a citation for not yielding to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
