Salt Lake City, UTA 73-year-old Smithfield man was killed in a snowmobile crash in the Gibson Lakes area on Saturday afternoon. Dennis R. Thompson had climbed a steep hill on his snowmobile. It seems the snowmobile went off a steep drop-off, crashed into trees and came to rest approximately 60 feet below the ridge.
