At about 3:37pm, a pedestrian was struck by a car at 32nd Street and San Pablo Avenue and killed, and the driver fled the scene. Relatives at the scene identified the man who died as Maurice Summerfield. One other person sustained non-life threatening injuries in the accident. It is still uncertain what the cause was, though witnesses claim that the car was speeding.
