Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLChristopher Bowmer and Johnathan Walker were traveling with a group of motorcyclists on Bonnie Mill Road. Bowmer was traveling south when he tried to make a U-turn with his motorcycle in front of Walker. Walker couldn't avoid hitting Bowmer's bike, and both vehicles were destroyed, ejecting both men. Bowmer landed about 80 feet away, and Walker was propelled about 110 feet, through through a barbed wire fence and into a field. Both were wearing helmets. Deputies say excessive speed was to blame, although the incident is still under investigation.
