Elmira, NYA Hornell teen was killed Chistmas Eve around 10 p.m. after the vehicle he was a passenger in exited County Route 29 in the Town of Canisteo and smashed into a tree. The driver of the vehicle, Thomas Flynn, 18, Hornell, was charged by New York State Police with driving while intoxicated. Flynn’s passenger, Hunter Kolesar, 19, was airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, where he died. Flynn was also taken to Packer Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

Watertown, NYA 21-year-old St. Lawrence County woman and her 5-month-old daughter were killed when the mother’s vehicle exited County Route 29 and struck a tree. Aleesha Cobb died in the accident. Her 5-month-old daughter, Paislee, was taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam, where she later died. Ms. Cobb was driving toward Colton on County Route 29 when she crossed the road and struck a tree at approximately 11:30 a.m. It is unclear why the car left the road.
