A 10-year-old boy was on his way to a sleepover in Franklin Township when he was struck and killed by a police cruiser while crossing the street with two friends. The accident occurred at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Delsea Drive and Paul Street. The two other children were not hurt, but the victim was struck in the middle of the road and was pronounced dead at the scene. It's unclear at this time whether the officer was responding to a call.
