Corey Mooring was discovered laying in the road at around 3:45 a.m. along George Washington Highway near the intersection of Yadkin Road. He reportedly had a prosthetic arm and leg. Police believe he was struck by a 2000-2003 dark blue or black Chevy Cavalier sedan, most likely with damage to the passenger’s side headlight and windshield.
