Riverside, CAKenneth Revell of Cathedral City was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban east on Gerald Ford Drive when he ran a red light and hit a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe that was southbound on Bob Hope Drive, according to Rancho Mirage police. Revell's SUV continued across Bob Hope Drive and struck a traffic signal pole, causing the Suburban to flip on its driver's side. The Hyundai then struck a 2004 Volkswagen Beetle that was northbound on Bob Hope Drive. The female driver of the Volkswagen was rushed to an area hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
