According to the San Bernardino Police Department, Mark Anthony Jimenez, 19, died at the scene after crashing his 1992 Mitsubishi GT 3000 when it collided with a 2011 Toyota Corolla that was headed in the opposite direction during a street race at Highland Avenue and Macy Street. The three occupants of the other car were brought to a hospital with unknown injuries after the 10 p.m. accident. The Corolla driver, identified by police as 23-year-old Francisca Vargas of Rialto, was in critical condition.
