Jonesboro, ARA minor was driving a Jeep east on Highway 49 when he began to turn into the Kum & Go store. He realized he was about to turn into the wrong lane and hesitated, leaving him in the middle of traffic. A car heading the other direction struck the Jeep head-on. The driver of the other vehicle was identified as Jessica Flores, and she was taken to a hospital with facial injuries. No word on if the minor was injured.

Jonesboro, ARA truck hauling cotton seed was traveling on Highway 49 when the vehicle overturned on a curve, spilling out its load. A passenger in the truck sustained minor injuries, but no one else was hurt. Traffic is slow in the area and officials say it may take 2 or 3 hours to clear the site.

Jonesboro, ARAccording to Arkansas State trooper Aaron Morphis, Christina Lancaster, 29, of Paragould, was driving a maroon Chevy Trailblazer south on Highway 49 when the incident occurred. She crossed the center line then hit an oncoming black Dodge Caravan driven by 66 year-old Joseph Mangrum. Lancaster and two other youths in her vehicle were injured, one of which was airlifted to the LeBonheur Hospital in Memphis. Mangrum was killed in the crash.
